Why is it cheaper for me to have a garden room installed in winter (off-peak)?

Winter is always a quieter time for us at Green Retreats because, generally, our customers are only starting to think about venturing out into their gardens in Spring, We don’t outsource any part of our builds, so we like to keep our teams nice and busy all-year-round if we can!

Is a Garden Room warm enough to use in winter?

Our garden rooms are made with premium insulation throughout to ensure they are warm enough to use all year round. A wall-mounted radiator is included as standard in our buildings or you can choose from our range of premium heating upgrades.

Do I require planning permission for a garden room?

In most cases, planning permission is not required for our garden rooms as they fall within permitted development rights, meaning you don’t have a lengthy waiting process to get your new space. If you do require planning permission, our planning team can handle the whole process for you.

Can I use a garden room as a guest bedroom?

A garden room can be used as a temporary accommodation, like an occasional guest bedroom. However, it shouldn’t be used for full-time living accommodation like an Airbnb or permanent housing.
