The A2 is our feature-rich apex roof garden room from the A-Range, specifically designed for homeowners who want something more than space.
Unlike conventional flat roof garden rooms, the A2’s distinctive 30-degree pitched roof design dramatically increases the internal ceiling height, creating a brighter, more spacious interior that feels larger from the moment you step inside.
The A2 is constructed with the same premium materials found in our G-Range pent roof garden rooms, is manufactured in the UK and is professionally installed by Green Retreats’ expert in-house teams.
The building comes with all the essential features included in the listed price to make your garden room comfortable, cosy, secure and stylish. Just add your electrical connection, and you are good to go.
Available in both Gable End and Eaves Side layouts, the A2 allows you to choose the style that best suits your home without compromising on space or performance. The vaulted ceiling not only creates a striking architectural feature but also delivers practical benefits, providing extra headroom for taller gym equipment, golf simulators, feature lighting and creative workspaces, while giving the interior a more open and luxurious feel.

The Apex Roof Garden Room features a striking 30-degree pitched roof, offering impressive internal height and a spacious, airy feel.
At 5 metres wide, the pitched roof garden room reaches a maximum height of 4 metres (3.93m to be exact) at the apex, giving you an impressive sense of space inside. For narrower widths, the height reduces proportionally, maintaining a balanced, visually pleasing design that fits seamlessly into any garden layout.
Thanks to its design, planning permission is not required if the room is at least 2 metres from your property boundary and you have permitted development rights, making it an easy, hassle-free addition to your garden.
Perfect for home gyms, studios, or simply enjoying more space, the apex roof garden room combines style, practicality, and ample headroom in one stylish package.

Payment Schedule & Finance Options
£300 Holding Deposit
Due: At any early stage of your planning
Your £300 holding deposit secures your installation date and locks in your quoted price for 1 year from the date the order is placed. It’s fully changeable up until 6 weeks before your installation date – giving you complete peace of mind while you finalise your plans.
60% Building Deposit
Due: 6 weeks before installation
We require confirmation of your building 6 weeks prior to installation. At this point, a 60% deposit is due, which secures your order and sends your building into production. This step ensures everything is ready and on track for your scheduled installation date. No further changes can be made after this payment has been taken.
30% of Remaining Balance
Due: On final day of initial construction
It typically takes 5–9 days to install your garden room. On the final day of this initial construction phase, we require 30% of the remaining balance. This payment confirms completion of the main building structure and allows us to proceed with the finishing touches such as electrics.
Final 10% of Remaining Balance
Due: On full building completion
After the main structure is installed, final works such as electrics, plastering, and any optional extras like air conditioning will be completed. Once these finishing touches are done, the remaining 10% balance is due. At this point, your 12-year guarantee is also activated, giving you complete peace of mind.
Finance Option
Green Retreats now offer flexible finance options on all garden room products. Whether you’re looking for a garden gym, office or studio space, our finance options allow you to explore the options of spreading the cost of your garden room over between 3 and 10 years in monthly instalments.

At this appointment, we will review all the important design elements and measurements for your project. The home visit is completely free with no obligation and place your order with our site surveyors.

All we ask for is a deposit to secure your installation date.
Do I need planning permission for the A-Range?
In most cases Garden Rooms do not require planning permission approval as part of your permitted development rights.
However, the A-Range, with its extended height peak roof, may fall outside these rights if you plan to have it installed within 2m of your boundary. If your project does require planning permission, it’s no problem! We have an in-house planning service that can take care of the whole process for you, and we’re proud to have a 92% success rate in securing approvals.

As standard, every A-Range comes just a touch under 2.5m high at the eaves. This design feature helps the buildings fall within your permitted development rights, which in turn helps you avoid the need for planning permission. However, for an apex roof design building you will need to position the building 2m away from a boundary to comply with permitted development, or apply for planning permission for approval for the building to be closer to a boundary. Stylish: The doors and windows use a modern slimline uPVC profile for a stylish appearance that’s also thermally efficient and long-lasting, available in graphite or black as standard. Upgrade options to aluminium are available.
Double-Glazed: Every door and window is fitted with premium extra-clear double glazing, which is argon filled for superior thermal efficiency.
High-Security: Insurance grade locks are used in our doors and windows. Pair this with the steel reinforced uPVC and extra tough laminate double-glazing, your building has security built in as standard.
Ground screw foundations are included in the listed price of our A2 A-Range building.
Our screw pile foundations are professionally fitted by our own base teams to ensure your building is fully supported and level. We simply require your ground to be clear and level within 200mm, and we’ll take care of the rest. Additional screw foundations for heavy items (such as heavy gym equipment) are a chargeable extra.
Internal electrics are included as standard in the A-Range, including lighting, heating, switches, sockets and consumer unit.
We simply need to quote for the electrical connection of your building to your home, which we will do as part of your free home visit. You can also use your own electrician to connect your building if you'd prefer.
