The G2 garden room is one of our original designs first created in 2006. This building was designed as a clean and contemporary addition to the G-Range, offering a more minimal take on the classic garden room shape. The G2 is still one of the most popular garden room designs, chosen by customers who prefer a simple and minimalist design that feels modern and refined.
The simple and modern appearance of the G2 is created through its flat front and straight lines, removing the front hood to achieve a more streamlined look. Styled in either natural or composite flashings, the G2 has a sharp, modern finish that works particularly well in contemporary garden settings.
Without an overhanging roof and decking, the G2 has a more compact footprint, making this design the best choice for customers looking for the largest internal space vs external footprint.
With all G-Range buildings, the differences between each design are external, with the internal style and options staying consistent across the range. This means you can focus on choosing the exterior style that best suits your home and garden.

All our garden rooms are fitted with a durable and easy-clean melamine interior. The finish is a lightly reflective soft sheen surface, which is strong enough to hold fixings such as shelving and pictures. Payment Schedule & Finance Options
£300 Holding Deposit
Due: At any early stage of your planning
Your £300 holding deposit secures your installation date and locks in your quoted price for 1 year from the date the order is placed. It’s fully changeable up until 6 weeks before your installation date – giving you complete peace of mind while you finalise your plans.
60% Building Deposit
Due: 6 weeks before installation
We require confirmation of your building 6 weeks prior to installation. At this point, a 60% deposit is due, which secures your order and sends your building into production. This step ensures everything is ready and on track for your scheduled installation date. No further changes can be made after this payment has been taken.
30% of Remaining Balance
Due: On final day of initial construction
It typically takes 2–5 days to install your garden room. On the final day of this initial construction phase, we require 30% of the remaining balance. This payment confirms completion of the main building structure and allows us to proceed with the finishing touches such as electrics.
Final 10% of Remaining Balance
Due: On full building completion
After the main structure is installed, final works such as electrics, plastering, and any optional extras like air conditioning will be completed. Once these finishing touches are done, the remaining 10% balance is due. At this point, your 12-year guarantee is also activated, giving you complete peace of mind.
Finance Option
Green Retreats now offer flexible finance options on all garden room products. Whether you’re looking for a garden gym, office or studio space, our finance options allow you to explore the options of spreading the cost of your garden room over between 3 and 10 years in monthly instalments.

G2 Building Specifications
Walls
The interior walls are made from 15mm white soft sheen melamine panels, providing a clean, simple and stylish internal finish.
A ventilated cavity supports reduced heat loss and discreet electrical wiring, followed by PhotonWrap and 50mm Rockwool insulation for year-round thermal performance.
Externally, 18mm Scandinavian redwood cladding is used as standard, offering a natural, maintenance free finish, with upgraded composite and timber options available.
Walls
The G2 wall section is crafted in-house using pioneering eco-friendly materials.
The interior of the wall panel consists of a 9mm thick white soft-sheen melamine board for a simple and stylish interior finish. This board sandwiches a 75mm thick eco-polymer foam insulation.
There is then a layer of composite board which a uPVC vinyl cladding is attached, which is completely maintenance free and colour stable.

The 4″ wide guttering further ensures the longevity of your garden pod by effectively managing excessive water flow, preserving the pod’s structure so you can enjoy it no matter the weather.
Flooring
Flooring
The flooring is designed to prevent any potential dampness from rising by promoting air circulation.
Additionally, the garden building subflooring sits above the ground level to further ensure this. The 80mm polyurethane insulation is supported by a 1mm powder-coated steel on both the top and bottom to keep the flooring protected against all-weather types.
Roofing
Roofing
The garden building roofing is made with a thick 80mm insulated steel panel that is reinforced with a 1mm powder-coated steel.
For further structural integrity, the roof has an added 0.5mm galvanised steel sheet to reinforce the panel. The roof’s design is slightly sloped, enabling effective water runoff to the rear guttering system and down-pipe.
Glazing
Glazing
The glazing is made with Pilkington K Optiwhite’ extra clear’ double-glazed windows and doors that are hard coated, low-e, argon-filled, and fitted with a Planitherm layer and Swisspacer. This advanced technology ensures exceptional insulation and energy efficiency.

Fantastic Room in a little London garden!

Can’t beat a Green Retreat!
We cannot recommend Green Retreats highly enough, compare their offer to anyone else and I think they will win the day. The finished result is a garden room of class and something to be proud of. Value is what you get as an overall package and experience, not what just the price tag states.
