Yes! Garden rooms are fully insulated, making them suitable for year-round use, including winter. Our golf simulator garden rooms feature premium-grade insulation, double-glazed windows, and draft-sealed doors to maintain a comfortable temperature.
While our buildings are designed with insulated walls that help reduce noise, additional soundproofing can be added to minimise sound transmission further. Customers often choose acoustic panels for this reason.
In most cases, planning permission is not required for a garden room, as they fall under permitted development rights. However, if you live in a listed property, conservation area, or plan to place the building very close to a boundary, you may need to check with your local planning authority. Our team is happy to advise on any planning concerns.
All of our garden buildings come with a full electrical package, including lighting and power sockets. While we install the electrics within the garden room, the connection from your house to the building will need to be completed by a qualified electrician. We can recommend a trusted professional or you can use your own.
Use dimmable lighting positioned strategically to provide just enough illumination for safely navigating the space without shining directly onto the screen. This helps maintain a crisp and immersive display while ensuring visibility where needed.
Golf Simulator Height Requirements
Ideally, a ceiling height of 3 meters is recommended. This ensures that all golfers have enough clearance to swing without feeling restricted fully. This is where our apex garden rooms are the perfect building to accommodate a home golf sim.
Golf Simulator Width Requirements
A width of 5 meters is ideal, allowing ample space for a comfortable swing and ensuring that left-handed and right-handed players can use the golf simulator without limitations.
Golf Simulator Depth Requirements
To create a truly immersive indoor golf experience, a depth of 7 meters is suggested. This allows for a comfortable setup, including space for a swing area, simulator, and any additional seating or equipment storage.
