Incorporating Hygge Decor At Home

Practice Hygge Decor with Green Retreats

Hygge Decor At Home

No longer a new concept to us, we could all benefit from the Danish lifestyle that is Hygge. A quality of cosiness and comfort through enjoying simple things. This time of year things start to slow down, the days are shorter and nights are longer. We can all bring a bit of hygge into the home with a few simple decor features. Soft lighting is important when it comes to making a space cosy. Think flickering candles and twinkling fairy lights. Cosy textures in the form of throws, cushions and rugs bring a warm element to any room. Natural, woody textures bring nature within and can give you a cabin feel.

Garden rooms are the perfect solution for you to practice hygge. Create your perfect environment, with your favourite soft furnishings, books and scented candles. The garden rooms are fully insulated, allowing them to be used all year round. Green Retreats offer various kitchen units, allowing your tea to be topped up too. We also offer a variety of heating options including wall-mounted radiators, underfloor heating and air conditioning for extra cosiness.

Inspiration at Our Showrooms

In need of some inspiration? Pop down to one of our two The Garden Office showrooms, based near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire just along the A41, as well as in Twickenham, London. Our Buckinghamshire showroom has seventeen fully furnished garden rooms, kids play area and a cinema room for all the hygge inspiration. While our London showroom is slightly smaller, we offer 3 of our most popular products, as well as a virtual reality station to design your building in the most unique way.
