HR Assistant

Job Description

The Green Retreats group manufacture and supply a range of luxury garden buildings, this also includes our sister companies – Clear Edge uPVC and Home Power Electrical Services.

A position has arisen within the HR department to recruit a full time HR Assistant to join our friendly team, the successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Team. They will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks and duties that include assisting the recruitment and new starter processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. They will also assist with the management and processing of the timesheets, internal company schemes and maintain employee records and accurate HR databases.

Main duties:

  • Update internal databases (e.g. record sickness and attendance)
  • Prepare HR documents, new starter and induction packs
  • Processing annual leave requests
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Assisting payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and timesheets)
  • Carryout recruitment based administration including contacting candidates to arrange interviews

Pay and Conditions:

  • Salary £23,500 per annum
  • 40 hours per week, 9-5pm Monday to Friday, half hour paid lunch break
  • Hybrid Working- 2 day working from home each week to offer a more flexible work life

 

Person specification:

  • IT skills, with an ability to navigate around various systems and software packages, such as Outlook, MS Office, the internet and database.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Accurate typing skills and attention to detail
  • Understands about confidentiality and is sensitive to issues
  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
