Job: Machine Operator / Order Picker – Team Leader (Farnborough Depot)

Job Description

Green Retreats are a fast growing Luxury Garden Studio manufacturer, in line with our latest phase of expansion, we are looking for a Machine Operator / Order Picker who will report directly to the Depot Manager, this role is based in our Farnborough Depot.

The Job Role

The Candidates prime responsibilities will include:

• Managing and motivating a small team
• Loading components onto machinery producing finished panels
• Order picking and packing of parts
• Stock control and movement around factory
• Efficient disposal of waste from all Depot areas to recycling points and skips
• Ensuring efficient and safe operation of the factory facility, adhering to all health and safety standards
• Checking stock levels ready for monthly stock check

Requirements

• Full driving licence and own vehicle
• Warehouse or manufacturing experience essential
• Previous industry experience
• Experience in leadership role, ability to train, manage and motivate a small team
• Attention to detail and precision
• Physical fitness – ability to work in a factory environment, both inside and outside working conditions
• Enthusiastic person who can grow with a new venture
• Reliable team player

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of health and safety in a factory environment
• Counter balance forklift license is desirable
• Experience using internal management systems i.e SAP

Benefits:

– The starting salary is the equivalent to £33,000 per annum. This is based on:

• A starting rate of £13.00 per hour and minimum 40hrs per week
• Additional monthly performance bonus (estimated £500 per month after successful 3 month probation)

– Starting monthly performance bonus starting at £100 p/m (£1,200 per annum)

– Monthly performance bonus will be reviewed after a successful probation period and increase to £500 per month (based on team quality and productivity)

– Minimum 40hrs per week (overtime payments over 40 hrs p/w paid at time and a quarter)

– Full time position – Monday – Friday (no weekend work)

– 20 days holiday plus all bank holidays
