Green Retreats manufactures and supplies high-spec luxury garden buildings for a wide range of uses, from home offices to art studios and commercial projects.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a driven and experienced Sales & Design Manager to lead our team, optimise sales performance, and ensure high standards of customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader with a proven sales background to make a real impact in a dynamic environment.
Leadership & Team Management
- Drive sales and ensure targets are met.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales & Design team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate training sessions to enhance skills.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex customer queries, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Provide performance reports and insights to senior management, contributing to business growth strategies.
- Manage rotas for the full-time and weekend teams.
Sales & Customer Experience Management
- Oversee quotations, orders, and sales documentation to maintain high standards before passing to the customer care team.
- Manage the surveyors’ schedule, bookings, and reporting on cancellations or challenges.
- Ensure all customer enquiries via telephone, live chat, and email are handled efficiently.
- Maintain and update the knowledge base to ensure accurate product and service information is available.
Showroom & Operations Management
- Ensure the showroom operates seamlessly, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee stock management and showroom presentation at both the Aylesbury and London locations.
- Deliver training and feedback to the weekend team, keeping them up to date with new product developments.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a sales and customer-facing role.
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to drive results and secure customer commitments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
- Adaptability to shift priorities based on business needs.
- IT literate with experience in managing sales processes.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential due to location).
Salary & Benefits
- £32,000 – £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Commission
- 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with a half-hour paid lunch).
- Weekend work: 2 weekend days in every 4 (taken as a lieu day or paid at £20/hour).
- Work locations: Primarily based in Aylesbury, with some work in Twickenham.
- Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus bank holidays, increasing with tenure (up to 3 additional days).
