Job: Woodworker Manufacturer

An opportunity to be part of a successful, dynamic and friendly company looking to expand our workforce due to continued growth. Green Retreats Ltd, the leading supplier of high-end luxury garden buildings, are looking for experienced woodworkers/carpenters.

Responsibilities and Duties

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture timber components and panels for our garden rooms from start to finish
• Read and interpret orders and drawings
• Assemble panels, components and stock levels with accuracy
• Use a range of woodworking tools and machinery
• Collaborate with the installation and design teams to ensure builds meet specifications
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Contribute to product development and improvements as we grow
• Measure, cut and prepare timber components from raw materials based on production drawings and cut lists

Duties will include:

• Contributing to the production of insulated panels
• Processing of raw timber materials & components
• Using nail guns, crosscut and panel saws
• Assembly of timber components
• Assisting with other elements of the build process where required
• Manufacturing gluing process
• Setting and gluing SIP panels
• Reading and understanding of drawing plans

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants need to be:

Experienced in the use of woodworking machinery and power tools

• Able to lift reasonably heavy loads
• Ability to work to own initiative, as well as part of a team
• Positive and professional attitude towards work
• Reliable and conscientious
• Relevant qualifications will be an asset
• Health & safety aware
• Open to relevant or specialised training

Pay and conditions:

• Starting hourly rate of £13.24 per hour
• Monthly bonus (starting at £100 per month)
• Overtime paid at time and a quarter (over 40 hours per week)
• Full Time Monday – Friday

Due to our location, we require all applicants to own a driving license and have access to their own vehicle.

We are based between Aylesbury and Bicester on Westcott Venture Park, just off the A41.
