4 styles from Green Retreats, but, which
one should you choose?
Our Green Retreats range is lovingly created by designers who have developed vibrant and stylish garden rooms. They both stand out as striking features yet seem at home within the garden environment. We offer four different styles of garden room. Each one with internal dimensions as advertised, offering full transparency!
Compact but Striking
Our Inspiration garden room is one of the biggest selling garden rooms anywhere in the UK. It’s perfectly suited to tight spaces, taking up a minimum external footprint, which allows maximum internal space. The front overhang may be small in size, but it’s big in style, framing your garden room from the front. The matching deck step below adds to the illusion and contrasting graphite doors and windows create striking front features.
The sides of the Inspiration room is kept simple. Whilst the walls are built square, the roof actually slopes back within the panel. Without a side overhang, we can build as close as 400mm to any obstacle. This gives you the maximum internal garden room space. The Inspiration works extremely well at the end of the long garden.
Classic yet Contemporary
Our Expression garden room is the most traditional of our garden room offerings. Its sharp lines and square overhangs simultaneously give a contemporary look. For the more traditional look pair the standard redwood cladding with a redwood deck. For a more contemporary look, opt for cedar cladding and a composite deck.
The front overhang is clad underneath with matching cladding to the front of the building, and the overhang extends down both sides of the building as well. The front overhang of an Expression is just under half a meter deep, providing protection from the elements on a rainy day. The three-board deck step below frames the bottom of the garden room. Our Expressions features are best suited to the corner of a garden, where customers can enjoy the looks of the front as much as those of the side elevations.
Our Edge garden room has recently had a face lift and has become a style icon of the garden room industry. It’s black pack screams contemporary styling, and the combination of black decking, black hood cladding and black doors and windows really contrast with your choice of cladding on the building. The Edge garden room is very similar to an Inspiration in side profile, but from the front the extended front hood becomes apparent.
The Edge has a top overhang, front side cheeks and a bottom deck step that all protrude just under half a meter from the front of the building, with black flashing installed in the underside of the hood and cheeks to exaggerate the shadow effect. Black doors and windows provide the ultimate contrast to the wood cladding options of offer.
Green Retreats most architecturally advanced garden room, the Pinnacle garden room has stunning angular features which can be paired with our angled feature window for full effect. A similar size front overhang to the Edge and Expression designs provides protection from above while the side cheeks angle back in to meet the bottom of the building. A three-board deck step finishes this garden room.
The Pinnacle design looks as good from the side as it does front on, so there’s no need to worry about garden placement. Our angled feature window matches the angle of the front cheek and wouldn’t look out of place on Grand Designs.
Is there a difference in specification?
Whilst our different designs feature different external looks, they are all built using the same roof and floor panels. Our wall construction is also the same giving them identical thermal efficiency. This makes it easier for you to choose your garden room. Simply choose your favourite style and get designing.

Our garden rooms are priced based on the internal sizes rather than the exterior footprint, making it easier for you to plan your work space. A commercial unit from Green Retreats could end up saving you a fortune from the costs of renting a workspace alone. The price includes base, installation and VAT so there are no (nasty) surprises when it comes to final payment.
