Our building ranges cater to every budget, style and need. The cost-effective Basebox, the versatile G-Range, the high-ceiling A-Range, and our fully residential Annex range. Each building is handcrafted in Buckinghamshire and installed nationwide by our own expert teams, where nothing is outsourced.
We have two showrooms where customers can explore our buildings and quality in person. Our flagship showroom in Buckinghamshire has 21 buildings on display, and our hub showroom in Twickenham has 4 buildings.

Fantastic Room in a little London garden!

Fantastic product and service to match
We had a 3.5m by 5m garden studio installed last month and we are delighted with the result. We are using it as a home gym and love the extra space it has given us! The building also looks fantastic at the bottom of our garden. Green retreats have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. As an architectural guru and environmentalist, Kevin chose to work with us because of our brand ethos, sustainability practices and quality of construction with innovative methods and materials.
As part of the partnership, Kevin has visited our showroom and factory many times over the years to be part of our innovation meetings, contributing ideas and design elements for our buildings. Will a Green Retreats Garden Room Add Value to my Home?
At Green Retreats we have been independently reviewed to prove that our quality garden room buildings can add between 5-15% in value to our customers homes. Not only are our buildings a unique and cost-effective way to add extra space at home, but they can also help attract more prospective buyers and fetch a higher sale price.
What warranty and aftercare does Green Retreats offer?
Every Green Retreats building comes with a 12-year warranty, except for the X1 which has a 20 year guarantee. Green Retreats has been around since 2005, meaning we’ve been around longer than our guarantee, so we know that our buildings really are built to last because we’ve experienced it.
We have a dedicated Aftercare department that you can pick up the phone and speak to any time should you need any support after your building is installed. We want to make sure we are here to help and look after our customers long after the installation and final payment.
Can I see a Green Retreats garden room in person?
Yes, and we’d highly recommend you do to make sure you end up with your perfect garden room. At Green Retreats we have 2 showrooms to choose from; with our Buckinghamshire flagship showroom with 21 buildings on display, and Twickenham showroom in London which has 4 garden room buildings on display. Does Green Retreats Handle Planning Permission if I Need it?
Most of our customer’s projects don’t require planning permission at all, that’s because our garden room buildings are designed to fall within your permitted development rights.
In the rare conditions that you might need planning permission for your project, Green Retreats do offer a planning service where we can handle the application on your behalf, which includes submitting drawings and liaising with the planning office. We have a 92% success rate with our planning permission applications here at Green Retreats, so you can rest assured that you project is in safe hands if you should need planning.
Where are your buildings made?
We have our own purpose build production facility in Buckinghamshire where every panel and section of your building is handcrafted by our own skilled craftsmen (some of who have been with us from the very start!). We moved into our new factory in 2019, and it was designed for maximum efficiency and sustainability. The factory is solar powered, which helps us with our carbon neutral status.
Our Buckinghamshire factory is just a 2 min walk from our Buckinghamshire showroom!
Who installs the buildings, are they Green Retreats’ own teams?
Yes, we employ our own installation teams who will construct your building. Full professional installation is included in the price of every building already too.
Everyone here is employed by Green Retreats and we don’t use any outsourced contractors for our work. From the base/foundations, to the building installation and electrical works, everyone is part of the Green Retreats are never outsourced for complete quality control.
What’s more, we make our own doors and windows too, and our electrical teams are a sister company of Green Retreats. We’ve created a network of quality control that we’re very proud to have perfected over many years.
Is Green Retreats an eco-friendly company?
Yes, Green Retreats is an eco-friendly and a carbon neutral company. Our factory, offices and flagship showroom are all solar powered from one of the UK’s largest solar panel parks.
For every 1 tree used in our buildings, 5 trees are planted in its place. Where quality is not compromised we use recycled or recyclable materials in our buildings.
We’ve also partnered with Climate Impact Partners to offset any residual carbon we generate as a business, making our showroom, factory and offices completely carbon neutral.
Are Green Retreats Garden Rooms Insulated for Year-Round Use?
Every garden room building from Green Retreats is fully insulated using premium materials throughout to ensure they are warm, dry and comfortable to use all-year-round.
Whilst the insulating materials within each of our garden room ranges may differ, the same can be said for all of them in that they are fully insulated for comfortable year-round use. All buildings come with heating and internal electrics included in the price, except for Basebox where the heating options are an optional upgrade pack. Every garden room from Green Retreats is fitted with premium double-glazing into thermally efficient uPVC windows and doors.
Do you offer turnkey solutions (everything handled for me)?
Yes we do! Turnkey solutions are the cornerstone of what we offer at Green Retreats.
From measuring your space and checking the access and designing your garden room, all the way to professional installation of the building and even the foundations – we take care of everything, and that’s all already included in the price! Our skilled team members carry out the process from start to finish.
How Do I Get a Quote for a Green Retreats Garden Room?

You can either give our teams a call, use our website online design tool, submit a quick quote form, visit our showrooms and design with our team in person, or book and on-site design consultation at your home where we can design your building with you there.

How Do I Place An Order?
A £300 holding deposit is all we need to place your garden room order with Green Retreats. Your £300 holding deposit secures your chosen installation date, and then you have until 6 weeks before that installation date to finalise your design. The holding deposit is completely refundable too, so there’s no pressure. You can book up to a year in advance, and lock in your price to avoid any increases.
