Benefits of a Yoga Studio
CONNECT WITH NATURE
Connect with nature and feel the energy of the elements by embracing the great outdoors. No matter what the Great British weather throws your way, our garden yoga studios are designed and constructed for use all year round.
COST-EFFECTIVE AND PRACTICAL
With a yoga studio of your own, an hour-long session can actually be a complete hour of practice. Cut back on wasted time and money without the need to travel (or the time spent rearranging furniture to accommodate your yoga mat at home!)
Yoga is a great way to unwind and reconnect with yourself. Add in the extra element of peace and privacy with a garden yoga studio, and you’re bound to reach inner peace. Move freely without feeling constricted or with other’s eyes on you.
TIME TO PRACTICE
Without having to go by anyone else’s schedule, you’re free to practice your forms and techniques at your leisure. A garden yoga studio is also a great place to practice those more challenging poses without feeling judged.

Our Transparent Pricing
We include everything needed to get your building up and running within your quoted price – including base installation and VAT. As well as this you will receive a french sliding door set, flooring, plug sockets and much more to get you started as soon as construction finished.
Built to last, our buildings are suited for all year round. Meaning you can exercise at the comfort of your home whether it be rain or shine – no need for trips to the gym in the rain! Completely sealed and insulated just like a room in your home, our products can be used during the freezing winter months, and during the pouring rain.
OUR YOGA STUDIO SIZES
Each of the 4 building designs can be built in over 70 size configurations, with anything from 4m² to 30m² internally. So whether you are looking for a compact yoga pod or a large yoga studio for your home yoga business, we can help.
All advertised sizes are based on the internal floor area, representing the actual usable space you are adding to your home.
Our garden room structures will need to remain free-standing due to the nature of their construction. However, we can build as close as 400mm to any solid obstacle, such as your house.
We don’t offer a completely soundproof solution for your garden room. We do, however, offer an acoustic pack which reduces the transfer of sound to approximately -45db – however, this is not ‘soundproof’.
Although we use industry-leading acoustically laminated glass, this is the least effective component of our acoustic pack. Please bear in mind that the more glass you opt for in your garden room, the lesser the effect the acoustic pack will have.
Planning permission is not normally required as our buildings fall under permitted development (built under 2.5m high externally). Most houses, even in conservation areas and areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), have permitted development rights. Flats and listed buildings have no permitted development rights, so will always need planning permission.
Don’t worry though, as planning is a relatively simple process for our garden rooms and we are on hand to help with this process.
We offer a complete electrical connection from your house to the garden room at an additional cost, which will be confirmed at your design consultation. However, you are more than welcome to use your own preferred electrician for this.
All Green Retreats garden rooms come with a 10-year structural guarantee.
We use the industry’s leading providers for our insulation and double-glazing for excellent thermal retention.
The floor and roof panels are filled with market-leading high-density polyurethane insulation.
Our highly efficient walls are filled with A* fire-rated natural Rockwool insulation and engineered with a layer of PhotonWrap multi-foil, an air-open reflective insulating breather membrane.
All windows and doors are fitted with Pilkington K™ Optiwhite double glazing. Our double glazing is 28mm thick as standard and 28.6mm for our acoustic pack.
Your design consultant will assess the access to your property. Our roof and floor panels come in solid one metre wide panels. A 3m deep building will typically have a panel that is 3-4m long, so we need to be able to walk this through your side access or house.
To order a building we simply require a £200 holding deposit to secure your installation date. Your £200 remains refundable until 8 weeks prior to your chosen base installation date. 8 weeks prior to your base installation date you pay 50% of the balance, which allows us to put your building into production. Upon build completion and sign off, we will require the remaining balance.
As standard, all of our buildings are clad in maintenance-free Scandinavian Redwood. Also included are a 2.3m French or sliding door set and an opening lozenge window. We also include a choice of four flooring options, three double plug sockets, a choice of internal lighting, an external light, a 2-way consumer unit (fuse box) and a wall-mounted radiator.
