About our Design Consultation Options:
There’s no set order for the initial design process. Whether you have already booked your installation slot, or you are in the very early stages of gathering ideas, we can help by offering the following options:
Top tip: If you can, we highly recommend visiting one of our showrooms as your first step as this is the best place to inspire your ideas and discover everything we can offer in person.
1. VIRTUAL DESIGN CONSULTATION
A virtual design consultation is a great way to kick off your garden room project. A virtual design consultation is a video call with a member of the Design Team from the comfort of your home. During this call, we discover more about your ideas, explain all of your options, answer any questions you may have about our buildings, and digitally create a building design with you.
It is helpful to know roughly what size you are looking for and details about the site where you plan to have your building installed, but we can always help guide you on getting rough measurements beforehand.
If you are in the early stages of your garden room journey, have a complex building design idea, live in an area with restrictions or live far away from our Buckinghamshire showroom, then a virtual design consultation is an important step for us to learn everything we need before we pay you a site visit.
2. ON-SITE DESIGN CONSULTATION & SITE VISIT
An on-site design consultation is where a member of our Design Team will meet you at your site. If you haven’t already had a virtual design consultation then we will cover those elements with you, whilst also measuring your garden space and assessing the access and your suitability for a garden building.
A site visit is always part of the process at some stage of your journey, so it’s up to you whether you would prefer to discuss your ideas first at a virtual design consultation first to give us more time to prepare, or whether you want to cover the design consultation and site visit in one.
3. Visit The Showroom
When you visit one of our showrooms our expert team will be on hand to give you a tour and help you discover everything we have to offer. In our showrooms, you can see our range of building designs and options as well as experiencing the quality of our buildings for yourself.
During your showroom visit, we can also create a detailed design with you based on your needs. This design can be used for your design consultation, saving time and giving us a chance to prepare before we visit your site.
FAQs
Take a read of the information above on this page to find out which design consultation option is best for you depending on what stage of your garden room journey you are on. If you haven’t been already, we recommend paying a visit to one of our showrooms as a great first step before you book an on-site consultation. Still unsure? Give us a call on 01296 325777 and we can learn more about your project.
Your design consultant will assess the access to your property. Our roof and floor panels come in solid one metre wide panels. A 3m deep building will typically have a panel which is 3-4m long, so we need to be able to walk this through your side access or house.
To book any design consultation appointment or an appointment to visit our showroom you can follow the button links above or fill in the form at the top of this page. You can also give us a call on 01296 325777.
Design consultation lead times are typically two to three weeks, but this may be less for virtual design consultations. We may also be able to get to you sooner if we have a team member already scheduled to be in your area for an on-site design consultation.
For site visits and on-site design consultations please allow just over 1 hour.
We ask that all key decision makers are present at your on-site design consultation or site visit. Your design consultant will check the access to your site space and access and create a plan for the installation of your building. Once we have seen your site in person we will be able to better advise on the design of your building as well as providing an electrical connection quote. By the end of your appointment you will know exactly how we plan to install your building, the total cost and a design to work from – so it is really important to be there to help influence and answer any questions so that we can complete this work accurately.
