The Pod is a great garden building alternative, due to its simple design and attractive price-tag. To make this possible we have simplified our construction methods, adapted building materials and scaled-back options and ‘luxuries’ to offer a complete building solution that comes with all the essentials you need but at a more competitive price.

Planning Permission Rarely Required

Part of the Work from Home revolution since 2005.
Working from home has never been more relevant than it is today. Green Retreats was founded to offer a solution to the home working revolution when it first took off in 2005. Since then we have been helping our customers create space for whatever they need, be it a home office or home gym.
Jump ahead to 2020 and with so many people experiencing working from home for the first time, we expect that more than ever people will be realising the benefits of working from home, as well as the drawbacks. The need for an isolated space to work from, free from distractions is where we can help. With the addition of The Pod to our product line for a limited time only, we can now cater to our customers who are looking for a simpler and cheaper solution.
Year-Round-Use
All of our pod buildings are fully insulated for comfortable use all-year-round. We have engineered the walls, roof and floor panels to help keep you warm in the winter and to help keep the heat out in the summer. All doors and windows are premium double glazed too, so open them wide in summer or tightly closed in winter to keep control of your environment.
What is The Pod made of?
The Pod is created using traditional, treated, natural materials alongside modern and environmentally friendly composites and insulators to provide you with the ultimate garden room solution.
Whilst The Pod is not as well insulated as our core range from Green Retreats, the system we have created is perfectly warm enough to use in the coldest of months. We also provide you with an oil-filled radiator to use on the days you’d put the heating on at home.
We’ve been careful too, to create The Pod in line with our principles of transparency and ongoing efforts to remain and improve our environmental credentials. The word “polystyrene” does not usually have positive eco-connotations, however, the polystyrene used in our walls is fully recycled and no toxic substances are used during its production.
Do I need planning permission?
The Pods have been designed to fall within permitted development rights meaning that generally, you will not need planning permission to install one. There are some instances depending on where you live or where in your garden you plan to install your building that may mean that planning permission is required. Get Your Pod
Terms & Conditions:
Due to the fact that we will not be conducting physical site surveys for this product, the onus will be on the customer to assess the suitability of the site (with our guidance of course!)
Payments:
£200 refundable holding deposit
50% balance due when we confirm delivery/install date
Remaining balance then due no later than 1 working day before delivery if self-assembly, or on day of install if we are installing
Guarantee:
10 years against structural material fault e.g. rot or corrosion etc.
3 years on glazing and locks
1 year on internal trims and linings, and electrical fittings/accessories
The Composite Cladding must be painted with an external-grade acrylic paint within 6 months (otherwise the cladding guarantee will be invalidated) – the Cladding comes primed ready for painting
For Delivery:
The sales team will establish the delivery point – this will be to the customer garden where possible
All deliveries will require a signature – we will confirm a time slot with the customer – if the customer is not in then this will be a failed delivery – we would have to take the building back to the factory and then charge for another delivery
For the Self-Build option:
The base price does not include installation – this is an additional package
The customer must ensure they follow the instructions accurately or they will invalidate their guarantee (obvious of course!)
For the Installation package:
All the usual terms and conditions apply re. access, parking, etc
