Back in August we were delighted to announce our status as finalists in The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards 2022, nominated for ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’ & ‘Mid-Market Business of the Year’.
We’re thrilled and humbled to have been recognised at the glittering award ceremony on the 8th November, walking away with a ‘High Commendation‘ in the ‘Mid-Market Business of the Year’ award category! This recognition is a true demonstration of our employee’s hard work and dedication across The Green Retreats Group.

The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards recognises UK businesses of all shapes and sizes, that are standing out from the crowd and celebrates innovation, creativity and resilience within the UK businesses community.
Attracting all types of businesses, from SMEs, to start-up’s, to FTSE 100 companies, the awards this year celebrated business achievements after a challenging economic two years.

The awards night saw us take home a ‘High Commendation‘ in the ‘Mid-Market Business of the Year Award’, an award that recognises businesses of an established market position that has seen spectacular growth in a tightly competitive industry.
Our garden rooms are a revolutionary and cost-effective solution to create space in an evolving nation – encouraging positive growth within the home renovation market, especially as a result of the work from home movement with our garden office buildings. We have experienced exceptional growth during the pandemic, maintaining market leader status in what was an emerging market pre-pandemic. The nation has been forced to adapt how their homes operate, now catering for work, entertaining and health and wellness – all of which are areas that our buildings add benefit.

We are proud to have also been finalists in the ‘Sustainable Business of the Year Award’ category that recognises organisations that put sustainability at the core of their values.
Our business cares for the environment and our eco policy is extremely important to us. All of the many materials used to construct our garden buildings have been carefully chosen for optimal performance and superior ecological values.
We’re also landfill free, by carefully recycling our waste materials and off-cuts, we are able to ensure that we contribute zero waste to landfill.
We use solar powered energy across the company. Our Buckinghamshire production facility, as well as our showroom and offices, are powered by one of the UK’s largest solar panel farms.
In addition, we only use responsibly sourced timber from FSC certified suppliers; with 5 trees planted for every 1 used in our construction. And to top it off, our Showrooms, Offices and Production Facility are completely Carbon Neutral!

Our garden rooms are priced based on the internal sizes rather than the exterior footprint, making it easier for you to plan your space. The price includes base, installation and VAT so there are no (nasty) surprises when it comes to final payment!
