Tiny Garden Room Ideas | Small spaces for big ideas

Create a Tiny Garden Room for BIG ideas

A revolution is here! ‘Tiny-house’ is a movement which started a few years ago that has continued to grow in popularity. The revolution sees people rejecting the need for ‘stuff’ and embracing a minimalist lifestyle where they find the joy of living with less.

Now, building a garden room to create more space isn’t necessarily sticking to the tiny-house rules, but we feel that having a small, tranquil space to escape to, away from the often chaotic home is important in finding joy in your life. Let us help you decide on the best use for your tiny garden room!

How small can a garden room be?

Our garden rooms are available in up to 70 size configurations with the smallest being a 2m x 2m G2 Building, which is the only building design of ours exclusively in this size.

To fall within permitted development, a garden room cannot be taller than 2.5m if it is is to be built within 2 metres of your property boundary. Our buildings come as 2.5m tall as standard so you have nothing to worry about here! Find out more about garden rooms and planning permission

Pick your Mantra

Looking for a space to escape to? Ever thought of trying meditation? Meditation rooms are becoming increasingly popular and for good reason. Many people are looking to meditation to bring peace and clarity to their lives. Having space with light and easy access to your garden allows you to become one with nature. Or opt for a darker room with fewer windows to help transport you to inner peace. Something like this 3.5m x 5m G3 would be perfect!

Micro Office

With working from home the norm for so many of us now, whether it be full or part time, having a dedicated office space to stay focused and boost productivity is key. A micro office in the form of a tiny garden room is the perfect way to separate home and work, being able to close the doors (and laptop) and the end of the day. A modern G1 is ideal to set up your garden office and that space to focus.

Let Creativity Flow

Create a space for your hobbies to flourish! If you enjoy writing but can’t seem to find the space, time or concentration to do this, then a tiny garden room for you to escape to might be the solution. Or if you need a space which inspires your art, why not surround yourself with nature? An G2, with its clean lines, is a perfect space to let your creativity shine.

Settle in with a Good Book

Or even a small retreat to read in? What sounds better than being cosy in your tiny garden room, curled up with a good book in the winter. Or even in the summer with the sunshine beaming in the breeze blowing. Another tiny building which fits perfectly in even the smallest gardens is this 4m x 3m G3. You could also consider an G1 which adds a similar quality to your garden.

Practice your Asana

If wellness is your calling, why not have your own yoga sanctuary? Lighting is also important here. Bring in as much light as possible, but add sheer curtains to add that ethereal light to the room. Try and have something in the room, such as a Buddha or even a spot outside that you can put all your focus into. The beautiful shape of a G4 can also add a creative flair to your garden.
