Fantastic product and service to match
We had a 3.5m by 5m garden room installed last month and we are delighted with the result. We are using it as a home gym and love the extra space it has given us! The Green Retreats Group sends no waste to landfill. All waste generated by The Green Retreats Group is either recycled or used as fuel to produce power for our local village power grid.

Is a Garden Room warm enough to use in winter? 🤔
Our garden rooms are made with premium insulation throughout to ensure they are warm enough to use all year round. A wall-mounted radiator is included as standard in our buildings or you can choose from our range of premium heating upgrades.
Our insulated garden rooms are a world away from damp sheds and log cabins, and we work hard to ensure that our garden room insulation values (also referred to as u-values) are engineered to the highest standard. This is to ensure that you can use your space all year round; as a garden gym, office or relaxation space – really, for almost anything you like!
Truth be told, a garden room from Green Retreats is a lot more like a room inside your house. Our construction techniques mirror those of Scandinavian house builders, a tried and tested construction model in climates far harsher than ours.

WHY THE CUSTOMER NEEDED A GARDEN ROOM:
The Cartledge family live in a four-bedroom new-build house in Dorset. The family were looking to create extra space at home for a unique extra lounge space where they could enjoy their favourite tv programmes.
Not wanting to go through the hassle of a full extension the family looked at the option of a summerhouse, but after some research, they found that by spending just a bit more they could get something solid and insulated for year-round-use.
WHAT WE DID:
Dean and Lynda found Green Retreats garden rooms and chose a 4m wide by 3.5m deep G2 as their solution. That our buildings don’t require planning permission was a big selling point to them; saving time and money. Our garden buildings are also fully insulated and built using premium grade materials throughout, making them the perfect choice for something more substantial than a summerhouse.
Dean opted for some optional upgrades to make his building perfect for what he wanted; including underfloor heating, bi-fold doors and plastering.
THE FINISHED PROJECT:
The Garden Bar that Dean has created is a unique space that every member of the family can enjoy. The bar has been given the name ‘Davy’s Bar’ after their late much-loved family dog – we love this!

Winter is always a quieter time for us at Green Retreats because, generally, our customers are only starting to think about venturing out into their gardens in Spring. We don’t outsource any part of our builds, so we like to keep our teams nice and busy all-year-round if we can!

WHAT WE DID
A garden room was the perfect space solution with our customers choosing a 5m x 3m G1 building for their modern two-person garden office 🤗.
A 5m x 3m building provides a generous 15sqm of space for two desks, cupboards and a small kitchenette. By partitioning a garden room, it creates a great storage solution for those who wish to ditch the cobwebbed shed.
